- The busiest slave trade know today is that of young girls 9-16 years of age, from Nepal to Bangladesh for prostitution. Estimated 5,000-12,000 girls are being trafficked each year with as many as 200,000 girls currently residing in Indian brothels. While 50% are lured over by promises of jobs and marriage, 40% are sold by there families and another 10% are kidnapped.

- In the US there are over half a million children in foster care each year

- In the US 90% of prostitutes were sexually abused as children, many of them by a relative. 2/3 US prostitutes begin before they are 16 years old.

- More then 45 million Americans don't have health insurance.

- In Africa and South East Asia alone, more then 14 million children die a year from "diseases of poverty", preventable and treatable for minimal cost. A measles vaccine cost 26 cents while acute malaria can be treated for pennies.
